The BEST Gifts of Christmas
I love Christmas! As I pack up all my favorite decorations and Christmas things, I am reflecting back on the most thoughtful gifts I have received in the past that I treasure still to this day.
The first gift on that list I got when I was first engaged. A dear coworker of my gifted me several beautiful Christmas ornaments at my bridal shower. It meant a lot to me to have something that was ours to decorate out first Christmas tree together. Every year when I pull them out and put them on the tree I think of her and this special gift she gave us.
Another treasured ornament is one made by my cousin. She put our wedding invitation into a glass ornament and tied it with a ribbon she got at our wedding. This year our new kitty broke the glass ball, but thankfully it was easily replaced with a plastic ball and it will continue to adorn our tree for years to come.
I love my invitation ornament so much that I’ve started gifting one to all the couples whose weddings we attend.
This is one that I made for my Aunt and Uncle at their wedding a few year ago hanging on their tree this year.
One year a dear friend gifted me a large photo frame and several printables to interchange throughout the seasons. This have been a mainstay of our seasonal décor ever since. Another year I requested she add to the collection so we could have even more options. I love changing things out each season and picking the sign that goes with the mood of the season.

This year, my sister lives in Germany. She gifted us my new favorite gift of Christmas. A German nutcracker. When we were little she would perform with the ballet company in the Nutcrack each year as a sugar plum fairy and then as a party guest. When the same ballet company would travel to where we live now, I would take my girls to go see it. It is a wonderful piece to add to our mantle holiday décor.
It really is the thought that counts, not the price you pay for gifts. What are some of your most treasured gifts you’ve received through the years?
