New Year-Time to Get Organized!
This has been three years in the making, and it is finally a reality! I have been looking for the perfect planner for a long time, but I could never find a planner that had all the options I wanted without a ton of extras I would never use. Since I couldn’t find what I wanted, I ended up taking the best from what I had found and just making my own. This is the third year I have made a planner for myself and this year I decided to share it with all of you.
Start the year off setting goals for the year.
Being a teacher we have to set goals SMART goals for our students growth. A SMART goal is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. I have carried that with me into my personal life. I have found that when my goals are measurable and I track my progress each week, month, and over the year I am renewed to continue to strive to meet that goal. My goals for the year are 1. Be in the Word 2. Daily Prayer 3. Travel 4. Date my Husband 5. Build our Business and Side Hustles and 6. Get Fit. Each goal has many sub goals to help me accomplish the goal. I can track what I am doing to meet each goal. On the weekly pages there is a spot to track if you are meeting the goal.
Each month has a list of home organization tasks.
Get your house in order in small bite size chunks that won’t lead to procrastination, my downfall! By the end of the year you will have deep cleaned, decluttered and organized all the rooms in your house. Plus your kitchen TWICE, one zone at a time.
Each monthly list comes paired with a monthly calendar to get everything for the month all planned out.
Each week of the year has its own two page spread. You can see your week at a glance, prioritize daily tasks, plan your menu, and keep track of your goals and what you’re grateful for. This will keep you in a productive, grateful, and goal oriented mindset each week.
When I printed my planner out I added simple prayer journal pages. My goal for the year is to spend time each day in purposeful prayer time. I love writing it down and bringing it to the Lord. When I write it down I’m able to look back and see exactly how He is working in my life. Click the link below to get a free copy of this Prayer Journal printable.
For my own personal planner, I printed it out and took it into Staples to be coil bound with a clear cover and a black back.
I’m ready to take on this new year keeping on track with my home organization and family planner. Let me know what you think and what you’d like to see added to the 2024 version.
