Family Traditions

Do you have any family traditions you continue during the holidays?

Family traditions are some of my favorite things during the holidays. I love getting to share with my kids, what I did when I was their age.

Some of my favorite memories were sleeping under the Christmas tree with all my cousins. We had so many people packed into my Aunt and Uncles house that Santa had to come to the mud room. The stockings were hung by the water heater with care. We have always had a frozen Costco lasagna and my grandma’s angel biscuits for Christmas Eve dinner. We needed something quick, easy, and able to feed a big crowd! It was always a mad dash to get out the door for Christmas Eve candlelight service.

Even as we grownups we still slept under the Christmas tree.

After my grandma was no longer able to make her angel biscuits, I took on the task. I have made them with the little cousins, nieces, nephews, and now with my own children. There is so much comfort in carrying on the family traditions, even if many things have changed.

Making angel biscuits with my oldest this Christmas. Warms my heart!
